TiE conference brings Disney and Facebook together

September 11th, 2007

posted by Jan Norman

The Indus Entrepreneurs, a group of Indian and Pakistani business people, will have both Disney International President Andy Bird and Facebook co-founder Sean Parker as speakers at their TiECon Southwest conference this Saturday at the Doubletree Hotel in Anaheim.

It’s open to all entrepreneurs.

I recommend the Entrepreneurship 101 panel at 9:15 a.m. that will include Sid Mohasseb whose OC-based Venture Farm invests in very early stage firms, David Saad, who just launched Clupedia.com in Santa Ana, and John Lown of one of the biggest manufacturers of food storage products, Snapware, formerly of Fullerton. I’ve interviewed them all for the Orange County Register, and they all have great insight into starting and growing companies.

Register here before Friday and save $10 to $20 ($50 for students to $155 for nonTiE members).

For reminders when new information is available at the Jan Norman on Small Business blog, send a request to jnorman@ocregister.com.
