Working in
conjunction with business unit leaders around the world,
Bird is responsible for coordinating and overseeing growth
opportunities for Disney outside of the United States, and
for targeting new businesses, growing and increasing
penetration of existing businesses and leading the
development of business and operations in emerging markets.
Prior to
joining Disney, Bird, a senior entertainment industry
executive with extensive experience in development and
operation of television and radio businesses
internationally, was president of Time Warner's TBS
International. Bird was with Time Warner for nearly a
decade, joining in 1994 as senior vice president and general
manager of Turner Entertainment Networks Limited, the TBS
Europe arm that produced Cartoon Network. He rose to
president of TBS International in 2000, and became
responsible for all TBS broadcasting outside of the
continental U.S.
Between 1989
and 1994 Bird held a number of positions in radio and
television in Europe, during which he helped start a music
channel, produced and directed a popular London-based
morning TV program, and produced a Saturday morning
children's TV show. In 1992, Bird was tapped by Unique
Broadcasting, the largest independent radio production
company in the United Kingdom, to start up and operate
Unique Television.

Promod has 17 years of experience in the
venture capital industry and currently serves as managing
partner at Norwest Venture Partners. He has been ranked as a
top dealmaker on the annual Forbes Midas List for the
past five years. In 2004, Forbes named him as the #1 Venture
Capitalist over the last decade. In 2006, Promod received a
Global Leadership Award from NASSCOM.
Promod focuses on investments in
semiconductors and components, systems, software and
services. He was an early investor and board member of
Cerent (acquired by Cisco), Siara Systems
(acquired by Redback Networks), OnDisplay (acquired
by Vignette), Winphoria Networks (acquired by
Motorola) and Extreme Networks.
His current investments include Adventity,
AmberPoint, Cast Iron Systems, FireEye, Open-Silicon,
Persistent Systems, Sonoa Systems, Sulekha, Veraz Networks (Nasdaq:
VRAZ), Veveo, Virtela Communications and Yatra Online.
Other notable investments and previous
board seats include Tivoli Systems (acquired by IBM), Forte
Software (acquired by Sun Microsystems), Kiva Software
(acquired by Netscape), Information Advantage (acquired by
Sterling Software), Arbortext (acquired by PTC), Resonext
Communications (acquired by RF Micro Devices), Showcase
(acquired by SPSS) and ZettaCom (acquired by IDT).
Prior to Norwest Venture Partners, Promod
spent 18 years in various operational roles ranging from
product development, marketing, Chief Operating Officer and
Chief Executive Officer at various public and private
companies such as Siemens International, Thorn EMI, Emergent
Technologies and Dimensional Medicine, Inc.
Dr. Haque received a Bachelor of Science in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Delhi, India
and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern
University. He received MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate
School of Management and serves on its advisory
board.

Businessman and entrepreneur Sean Parker
gained early notoriety as a co-founder of Napster Inc.
in 1999. An IRC friend of Shawn Fanning, Parker helped
convince Fanning to incorporate Napster as a business. He
joined Fanning in California and developed the early
business strategy of the firm. In 2000, Parker left Napster.
Parker is co-founder of online contact
service Plaxo, where he was President until 2004.
Parker was also the founding president of Internet startup
social network Facebook.
In 2001, Parker was awarded the
Telluride Tech Festival Award of Technology.
Currently, Sean is a managing partner of
the Founders Fund, a venture capital fund started by Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal.

Raj Jaswa is the Managing
Director of Jaswa & Company. He currently serves as an outside
director of Selectica Inc and AppStream Inc.
Mr. Jaswa is co-founder and Director of Selectica Inc (Nasdaq:SLTC),
an enterprise software company which had one of the ten most
successful IPOs of 2000. He served as CEO and President of
Selectica from its inception in 1996 through July 2002.
Through January 1996, Mr. Jaswa served as President of OPTi Inc
(Nasdaq: OPTI), which he co-founded in 1988, leading the sales,
marketing, and strategy/ business development efforts.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Jaswa worked for Chips &
Technologies, Intel, and GE. Mr. Jaswa has a B.Tech in
Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology,
Mumbai, an M.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and an M.B.A. from
Stetson University, Deland, Florida. |
